First division side Forfarshire have signed 32 year old Australian Kelby Pickering for season 2009.
As a player, Kelby is described as a lively opening bowler and capable mid-order batsman and has represented South Australia and Tasmania 2nd XI.
More recently, Kelby has played six seasons in England, last year taking 65 wickets for Loughton CC in Essex. He also enjoyed success in the Liverpool Premier league with St Helens Rec CC.
As a coach, Kelby holds a level 2 qualification from Cricket Australia and will be responsible for continuing Forfarshire's Youth Development Programme.
