More overnight rain saw the second day's scheduled play at Bready between NW Warriors and Leinster Lightning abandoned.

Umpires Charlie McElwee, David Bradley and Noel Dunn carried out a ground inspection at 10am today and found there was no possibility of play.

Indeed, such is the saturated nature of the ground at Magheramason that there is a very real possibility that the game will be abandoned totally tomorrow morning (THURS) without a ball bowled.

The Warriors currently top the table on 30 points, 6 ahead of the Knights who play Lightning in the final inter-pro game of the season at Rathmines next week (7-9 September).

The season has petered out tamely due to the dreadful weather conditions, with the final game of the cup competition also being abandoned at Strabane at the weekend.
