Hong Kong and Scotland took 10 points each as wintry conditions prevented any play for the fourth day running. With temperatures dropping toward freezing and intermittent showers, Hong Kong and Scotland's Intercontinental Cup tie, which was to be the inaugural first class match at the Mission Road Ground, was today abandoned wthout a ball bowled.
With no play possible across the four days, the teams share the 20 points between them, taking Hong Kong to third on the table with 30 points, and Scotland one place behind on 23.
With the rest of the field bar leader Nethelands and last-place UAE enjoying a game in hand, however, both teams hopes of a finals spot have been dealt a blow.
With the prospect of a brief improvement in the weather tomorrow and Tuesday, albeit followed by more rain later in the week, attention now turns to the two WCL Championship matches scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday.
The two sides are both currently in a four-way tie at the top of the WCLC table together with Kenya and the Netherlands on 6 points, with Hong Kong ahead on total wins.
Scotland are currently unbeaten in the competition, but both of their matches against the Netherlands last summer were washed out. They will hope to avoid a similar outcome this week.
