The North West Warriors will head to Pembroke in buoyant mood ahead of the T20 festival at Sydney Parade which will take place over the coming weekend.

A 10-wicket win in this week's 3-day game at Comber will be fresh in the minds and several players who had a major hand in that convincing victory- William Porterfield, Davy Scanlon, Graham Kennedy, David Rankin and Craig Young are all named in this weekend's travelling party.

Given their form across all three formats this season Ian McGregor's charges travel south with no little hope of causing a tournament upset despite an "experimental" look to their squad.

There are two debutants- Marcus Poskitt and Varun Chopra both of Coleraine, while Rishi Chopra is likely to play a part having returned to the Warriors as 12th man at North Down, three years after his last senior Interprovincial appearance.

It is testimony to the confidence in the camp at present that Head Coach Ian McGregor is already looking to utilise the Warriors' current momentum by bringing the new faces into a winning team, and the effect seems to be doing the players no harm either.

The North West side take on Munster Reds in Fridays early game and are first on the bill on Sunday as well against the Knights, while in between those they will go head-to-head against Leinster Lightning in what could well be a key battle.

Entry to the matches is free and for those not able to attend, the games will be live-streamed.
