Coleraine all-rounder Varun Chopra has left Coleraine to join Cliftonville Academy.
The 23 year-old leg-spinner and middle-order batsman represented Ireland at two Under 19 World Cups in Bangladesh and New Zealand.
He has also played seven times for the Warriors at interpro level.
Chopra scored 406 runs at an an average of 38.83 with three half centuries for Coleraine in 2022, but didn't have the most prolific of seasons with the ball, only taking eight wickets.
He has completed his university degree and started work in the Belfast area.
"We are delighted to announce the signing of Varun Chopra ahead of the 2023 season," said Cliftonville Academy on their social media account.
"Welcome Varun!"
Strabane all-rounder Tom Harpur is also training with the NCU club, but hasn't confirmed yet where he will be playing this season.
