There is great optimism around Donacloney Mill as the new season dawns.
South African wicketkeeper batsman Peet Piennar has joined and he has the benefit of previous Northern Ireland experience having played with great success at Ardmore in the NWCU.
Youngster Mark Hanna great young off-spinner with lots of potential and has shown it for the Junior Knights, so well worth keeping tabs on.
"Just feel like the last 3 or 4 seasons we have we have underachieved with the squad that we have," said Matthew Lyttle.
"We would like to be knocking in and around the top four of Section One by the end of the season.
"We have a great young squad with lots of potential especially in Aaron Kennedy, Robin Sinton, Ryan Matthews and Shane Warren with the help and coaching of Peet we hope to do well.
"It's also a big year for our club that we have secured ownership of our 130 year-old club and ground and are in the process of doing major work to the old listed pavilion which is well needed and everyone is very excited about.
"The youth section has also plenty coming through from all the age groups which is also very promising for the future."
Donacloney Mill start their season on Saturday (April 22) with a home clash against Ballymena at the Fcatory Ground.
