The club have a new professional in South African all-rounder Darryl Brown, who enjoyed a prolific time in the NW with Tyrone club Fox Lodge.
CricketEurope caught up with newly married Simpson, just returned from honeymoon, to garner his opinion on the forthcoming season : "I'm delighted with our squad. We have added some quality and that means there is genuine competition for places and that can only be a good thing. We tend to have quite a young squad at the best of times, but a couple of young guys to watch out for are Adam Berry, a young guy who should be on the plane to the U19 World Cup and I think he will prove a few selectors wrong.
"Peter Ferguson is an exciting talent who has worked his way through the representative youth teams and will be a top cricketer in the years to come.
"In terms of our hopes for the season, I am looking to improve on last years performance where I feel we underachieved. The league will be very competitive with any one team capable of beating another."
