Kevin O'Brien will skipper Leinster Lightning in the revamped Inter-pro series which gets under way on May 6th, when his team face the Northern Knights at The Hills.
The squad includes 12 senior Irish internationals, including the newly appointed coach Trent Johnston, although none of the English county based players have been included.
Fintan McAllister makes a return to representative cricket following a sabbatical in Australia and New Zealand and will vie for the wicket-keeping slot with Stuart Ponyter.
Highly rated seam bowler Peter Chase is included, while last year's surprise pick for Ireland A duty Alex O'Brien makes the 22.
Railway Union's Australian based professional Patrick Collins also gets a chance to show his talent, although there is no spot for Leinster all-rounder Joe Carroll.
