North Down teenager Peter Eakin has withdrawn from the Northern Knights side to face Leinster Lightning at The Hills tomorrow.

The all-rounder  has suffered a side strain, and while the injury isn't thought to be too serious, he has been replaced by another teenager in the form of Mark Adair.

Adair has recently joined Civil Service North from Holywood, and is feeling his way into the top flight of senior NCU cricket.

He is very highly rated amongst the Irish youth selectors, and a bright future in the game is expected.

The Knights will start as under-dogs against a formidable looking Lightning side which contains nine senior internationals in their ranks.

Play at Milverton gets under way at 10:45am with admission free for spectators.
