North West Warrior's Johnny Thompson Rues Missed Chance and Lost Toss After a hard first day with the bat and in the field, North West Warrior's Johnny Thompson was still confident his team could get among the Leinster Lightning batsmen early tomorrow and get right back into the game.

Barry Chambers: Johnny looks like it was a bad toss to lose. Warriors really up against it?

Johnny Thompson (North West Warriors): Definitely, it done a bit at the start, and they nicked five of us out for fifty, so flattened out then, whenever myself and Andrew Riddles got to the crease. So we put on 80 odd runs.

Barry Chambers: Yeah that was a good partnership. I suppose you knew then that things were going to be difficulty when you came to bowl?

Johnny Thompson: Definitely, everyone knew it had flattened out then, there was nothing really in the track. We had a chance to nick Coghlan early on, but we never took that, so he's batting well like.

Barry Chambers: Have you seen much of Bill Coughlan before?

Johnny Thompson: Played once against him Brigade v Clontarf, never got many, but like he looks a good player.

Barry Chambers: And how are the Warriors going to get back into this game, just looking here now, they're 105 for 1, what 86 behind, it's going to be difficult?

Johnny Thompson:  If we nick a couple off tomorrow morning early, we should be ok, and get the spin back on again.

Barry Chambers: I thought Campbell seemed to bowl well out there, nifty?

Johnny Thompson: Yes a good wee bowler. As I say, if we can nick a couple off tomorrow morning, we should be all right, get back into the game again.

Barry Chambers: That's the beauty of a three day game, you always have time.

Johnny Thompson: Oh definitely, it gives the guys who failed in the first innings a chance to get back into the game again. So we should be ok.

Barry Chambers: What do you think of the setting here at Trinity?

Johnny Thompson:  A beautiful setting, and nice ground, good big crowd.
