Warriors Skipper Confident of Young Talent Stepping Up on Day 3
North West Warriors Captain Iftikhar Hussain assesses the state of the game at the end of the second day.
Barry Chambers: Iftikhar better performance today from the North West Warriors, but you're still very much staring down the barrel?
Iftikhar Hussain (Captain, North West Warriors): Yeah I think we had a couple of great sessions, but have plenty of work to do.
Barry Chambers: Yeah, but you bat pretty deep, you'll be looking a big innings from yourself and Romano Ramoo to set the tone tomorrow?
Iftikhar Hussain: Yeah we will do our best to get out of trouble here. But we'll try our best.
Barry Chambers: What about the North West Warrior side, do you think they've been a wee bit naive in terms of three day cricket, they haven't played a lot?
Iftikhar Hussain: I think we are naive, you know, we have a lot of young guns here, you know, who haven't played three day cricket. So it's a good experience for them. I think they'll learn from this and we'll take it from there. I think there's great talent there, exciting talent there.
Barry Chambers: Yeah, you have a good mix, I mean there are some experienced campaigners like yourself. Will you be showing them how to do it tomorrow?
Iftikhar Hussain: Yeah I'll do my best, you know as I always do.
