Leinster Lightning's All Rounder Eddie Richardson continued is excellent form this season with another fine display. Once again his wickets were the top order batsmen. The versatile North County All Rounder was pleased to once again put on a good performance in front of the Irish Management and Selectors.

Barry Chambers: Eddie a pretty good day for the Leinster Lightning, just on the verge of victory?

Eddie Richardson: Yeah it was a great day. The bowlers bowled well and Chris Dougherty for the NCU batted really well. We hit our lengths straight away getting early wickets. The wicket of Lee Nelson was the key really this morning. And then nobody really batted decent with Chris Dougherty, to keep going with him. And then John Boy and Max done well with the ball, and Albie as well.

Barry Chambers: What has made the difference to your bowling this year, I mean you've been taking a lot of wickets?

Eddie Richardson: Just really with the one day stuff, I'm just mixing it up better, bowling a more consistent line and length, and then the slower ball has been my real key ball at the end.

Barry Chambers: Do you enjoy the Three Day Game, I mean that's when you get to bowl longer spells and work batsmen out?

Eddie Richardson: Yeah I'm starting to enjoy it, I just have to get used to bowling a more consistent line and length, that's the hardest part. Being used to playing One Day Cricket, I need to get used to being more consistent really, that's all.

Barry Chambers: And what about you've obviously International ambitions, you're aware that good performances here with Phil Simmons and the other Selectors watching you?

Eddie Richardson: Well hopefully yes, obviously I've international ambitions. Hopefully I can get a cap soon enough in the One Day format. It's going very well at the moment, I just have to keep giving good performances.

Barry Chambers:  What's the mood in the camp, are you slightly disappointed you couldn't finish it off tonight?

Eddie Richardson: Yes, it would have been good to finish off tonight and rest up tomorrow, but sure we only need one more wicket. So hopefully we'll wrap it up early tomorrow.
