The North West Warriors squad for the 3-day game against Leinster Lightning at Bready next week has been named and Bobby Rao's charges will have their third new skipper of the season on show for the test against the southerners. Donemana's Andy McBrine has been handed the armband in a list containing several changes and notable for the fact that no professionals have been included this time.

Team Administrator Trevor Hamilton said that it had been the selectors' intention to pick an all-local 3-day team at some point and they had felt that now was the ideal time to do it. "We have the under-19 players David Barr and Scott Campbell returning to the squad and the selectors also felt they wanted to stick with the relatively new Fox Lodge pairing of Jason Milligan and Dean McCarter as well. Obviously they can't pick everyone so there are a few changes involved to accommodate that".

"Scott, David and Jason are all capable of opening the innings so Niall McDonnell has been left out for this one and Andy McBrine takes over as skipper. On the bowling front Craig Young is available and he will come in for Peter Connell while Stuart Thompson is awaiting results of a scan therefore Gareth Burns is also included. Andy Britton is unavailable due to work commitments".

The game at Bready starts on Tuesday morning and the Warriors are hoping for good support from the North West public over the three days.

The squad in full is- Andy McBrine (capt), Ricky-Lee Dougherty, Johnny Thompson, Iftikhar Hussain, Dean McCarter, Craig Young, Jason Milligan, David Barr, Gareth Burns, Scott Campbell, Andrew Riddles and David Rankin.
